RMA repaired storm damages to Military Family Housing (MHF) created by flooding and high winds from Hurricane Katrina. RMA was awarded 6 Task Orders for the renovation of 65 single and multiple dwelling housing units. The homes, constructed from 1959 to 1990, range in size from 1500 square feet to 2300 sf. Work involved removal and replacement of damaged interior & exterior housing components; repair of exterior brick and block
finishes; ceiling joists, window and door frames, trim and millwork; repair of drywall, including mud tape texture and insulation, and painting; replacement of cabinets, counter tops, interior and exterior doors, windows, water heaters, toilets, and kitchen appliances; installation of new carpet and tile; replacement of electrical fixtures, including receptacles. This project required daily reporting, interaction and coordination with other subcontractors and base facilities, management and coordination of multiple crews working concurrently in multiple locations, and quality control and health & safety compliance.
